Helping Chemo Patients Look and Feel Good
Libre provides functional and stylish clothing for patients undergoing chemotherapy, dialysis or other types of infusions, in the hope patients feel better and more confident during treatment. Research shows that people who experience more positive emotions live longer than those with predominantly negative ones. In addition, people that feel good also report fewer health problems and faster recoveries.
Much like Cancer Be Glammed, we started Libre from personal experience, after seeing the discomfort and frustration our own family members were experiencing during treatment. All of the patients we spoke with had a similar complaint - they were cold during treatment. After researching the issue, we realized we could create clothing to fulfill this need for our family and other patients.
Zippers on our clothing are strategically placed on the arm, chest and leg so nurses can easily access the patient’s treatment site, allowing them to stay fully dressed, warm and more comfortable. Patients don’t have to worry about sacrificing their dignity by undressing or revealing too much skin for treatment. They no longer have to cut holes in sweatshirts or use blankets to stay warm. One of our clients Liesel M. told us, “My husband loves his Stephen shirt. Now he can go to his treatments in style and stay very warm.”
We also give back to kidney and cancer communities by donating a portion of each sale to a partner organization of the customer’s choosing.
If you or someone you know could benefit from our warm and comfortable clothes, see the link to our products here on Cancer Be Glammed under Fashion Solutions/“Survivor Inspired” Solutions, or visit us at www.LibreClothing.com to see all the styles and colors!
